A Greener Recession

Being eco-friendly isn’t always the most economical even in the best of times, however you shouldn’t let your financial situation dictate your love for the environment. This week, I’d like to share with you some ideas that are both friendly to the environment as well as the wallet.

Entertainment is one of those luxuries that usually falls by the wayside during tough times but there are ways to get out and enjoy life. For instance, many local farmers’ markets, such as the The Original Farmer’s Market at The Grove, offer free music throughout the summer.  Also, look free entertainment at various metro parks and festivals around the country. You don’t have to spend a bundle to have a good time, just pack a picnic and head on out to someplace you haven’t been and explore! Your local visitor’s bureau may have some new ideas for you too!

Till tomorrow….live green!
